You may have noticed that Contact has a fresh new look. We’re delighted to share the launch of our redesigned website, updated logo and new message: “Home for Now, Hope for the Future.”
The new logo takes inspiration from the iconic archway at the entrance to the historic building we work from, it is a much-loved feature of Contact Hostel. The archway represents a place of welcome, safety and new beginnings, values that have always been at the heart of Contact. These ideas have been beautifully captured by the talented team at Open & Honest, our incredible communication designers, who carefully developed our new logo and, with that, a new message that reflects both our purpose and our promise.
Together with our new visual identity, we’ve launched a completely redesigned website. The new site makes it easier to access support, find information, and learn more about our work. After months of hard work and attention to every detail, Jimmy and Dom from Open and Honest have transformed our online presence into something we could never have achieved on our own. In today’s world, a strong online presence is so important, and the new website is a testament to their creativity and skill. We cannot thank them enough for how much heart they put into this project and how well they communicated to make it perfect for us.
We’d like to also thank Ellen from LINGO, after great discussions with us at Contact, Ellen developed our new strapline “Home for now, hope for the future,” which we felt perfectly reflected both our charity and the work we do. We felt it captures Contact, between providing safe accommodation and steps towards a better future. In just a few words, it communicates just exactly what we wanted.
You’ll also notice new professional photography throughout the website and our communications. Captured by Bec Lupton, these images reflect the warmth and community that make Contact what it is. So a big thanks to Bec!
While our appearance may have changed, our mission remains the same. Every day, we continue to support teenage girls and young women in Manchester, empowering them to build confidence, and create brighter futures.
This project has been a true collaboration, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jimmy & Dom, also to Ellen and Bec for their inspiration, expertise and skill from each one of them in bringing our new brand to life.
We’re incredibly proud of this new chapter for Contact! Here’s to new beginnings, new opportunities, and continuing to provide a Home for Now, and Hope for the Future.
