Support Worker - Bank
Job Description
Post: - Support Worker (Bank)- Work on an ad hoc basis, covering sickness and annual leave entitlement. Post includes weekend/bank holiday working and sleeping-in commitment. The post holder will be based at 339 Wilbraham Road Whalley Range.
Wage: £12.60 per hour
Accountable to: - Operations Manager
Main Areas of Responsibility
Support to Service Users
To work with young women aged 16-20 years in a residential setting, within the organisations policies and procedures.
To develop positive professional relationships with service users through systems of support, anti-discriminatory practice and consultation processes which promote personal safety, independence and personal responsibility, enabling each young person to realise their potential and achieve positive outcomes.
Health and Safety
To work within the organizations policies and procedures to promote a safe living and working environment.
Lone Working
When working alone, to adhere to the lone worker guidelines, and take responsibility for the service user group and building during those times.
To be responsible for maintaining staff cover during those periods.
Administration
To work within and maintain the systems of recording and communication with the organisation.
Professional Development
To take part in supervision and training offered by the organisation which promotes professional development and safe and up to date service provision.
General
Duties as prescribed by the organisations Operations/Service Managers, which reasonably fall within the purview of the post.

Trustee - Treasurer
Contact Hostel is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees and play a key role in overseeing our financial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to make a real difference in the lives of teenage girls in Manchester.
About the Role
The Treasurer will work closely with our Operations Manager and Fundraiser, and report directly to the Chair and Board of Trustees. Key responsibilities include:
🔸 Providing general financial oversight of the organisation.
🔸 Leading financial planning and budgeting, including producing annual budget forecasts.
🔸 Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant legislation.
🔸 Managing the control of fixed assets and financial systems.
🔸 Ensuring appropriate levels of insurance are in place.
🔸 Attending at least 6 board meetings annually and participating in relevant training.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ A strong financial background with an accountancy qualification is desirable, but not essential.
✔️ Excellent understanding of financial systems and controls.
✔️ A commitment to supporting our mission and the individuals we serve.
